I wanted to create this blog to share my two hobbies/passions.  I am a teacher by trade, but I love to unwind by cooking and trying new recipes.  My favorite thing to do after I go to a restaurant is to try to recreate the dish at home.  I am by no means an expert, just an enthusiastic amateur.

I didn’t want to limit my blog to just cooking because I wanted to also share some of my teaching experiences and techniques that work well for me.  I have been teaching for ten years now, and I am currently teaching fourth grade in a self-contained classroom.  I have also taught Kindergarten, Second grade, and Third grade, and I look forward to becoming a principal sometime in the future.  I view teaching as a calling from God to minister to my students and their families, and I look forward to sharing my experiences with anyone interested!
